American Christians are facing uncertain times. Our nation’s values are under assault. Religious liberty has been undermined. We live in a day when right is now wrong and wrong is now right. As a reporter covering the culture war for FOX News, Todd Starnes is on the front lines of these attacks against traditional values. In God Less America, he uses both recent news stories and compelling interviews with today’s top conservative leaders to bring to light what is happening across our country. The New Testament indicates that Apostle Peter was the son of John (or Jonah or Jona and was from the village of Bethsaida in the province of Galilee or Gaulanitis. His brother Andrew was also an apostle. According to New Testament accounts, Peter was one of twelve apostles chosen by Jesus from his first disciples. Originally a fisherman, he played a leadership role and was with Jesus during events witnessed by only a few apostles, such as the Transfiguration. According to the gospels, Peter confessed Jesus as the Messiah, was part of Jesus's inner circle, thrice denied Jesus, preached on the day of Pentecost, became a pillar of the Christian faith that today has more than 2.4 billion adherents around the world.

Here in our oasis of a retirement community, a common interest development (aka HOA) in the Inland Empire of Southern California (Trilogy Glen Ivy), we meet most Monday's with a senior men's Bible study group that I have missed for over a month due to a prolonged illness and (last week anyway) because of a doctor's appointment in Orange County.

Our friends from this group and over 2.4 billion other citizens of the world are marking Easter Sunday today.

If you read the #SocialCurrentSee that is embedded in the Storify slide show (above), you will note many other comments and links on topic.
